Chevell-abration
Last summer we had the opportunity to attend the ninth annual Chevell-abration held at Moss-Wright Park in Goodlettsville, Tennessee (just outside of Nashville). Tell you what, if you own a Chevelle, are planning on buying one, or just love admiring these cool musclecars, this was the place to be.
More than 400 enthusiasts with their Chevelles and family members attended. Sponsors of the show were OPG, Year One, COMP Cams, Flowmaster, Holley, Trim Parts, SoffSeal, Ground Up Restorations, Baer, Hinshaw's Chevelle Parts, and the Right Stuff. Our longtime pal Chuck Hanson, president of the American Chevelle Enthusiasts Society (ACES), helped to ensure that this year's Chevell-abration was the best one so far.
The festivities included drag racing at Music City Raceway, a swap meet filled with hard-to-find parts and cars, special musclecar-focused seminars, Chevelle product vendors, and much more. To complete the event Chuck brought in a team of chefs to dish up lots of southern-style chicken, cornbread, beans, and slaw for the final day's lunch. Then he spent the next several hours handing out some very well-deserved trophies.
