Green With Envy
1971 Nova
Barney Moffat
Fayetteville, PA

It didn't take long for the father-son project to turn solo for Barney Moffat. Five years later though, the Nova is complete with a 0.040-over 400ci small-block. The block holds an Eagle crank and H-beam rods, and the Brodix aluminum heads breathe with Scorpion 1.6 roller rockers and Hooker headers. A Holley Blue pump and 850 carburetor handle the go-juice. Underneath the Green monster are subframe connectors, a 3.73:1 posi rearend, and 3-inch Flowmasters. The interior still sports a bench seat, a four-speed stick-shift Muncie, and a host of aftermarket gauges.
